General Motors had a firm belief in its Global Product Development Process as per which the cars were built using the best available technology in engineering, design & manufacturing. It was also ensured by General Motors that the cars built under this technology should be the highest in terms of quality & should also meet the demands on time. Like many other cars, Chevrolet Beat is also manufactured under this program. While the car was in its development phase, its engineers had a very clear idea in their minds that the car should be small in size, making it easily fit into the narrow city lanes, should be high in engine performance & at the very same time it should also satisfy all the safety standards.
Chevrolet Beat Car has a western & an unconventional design features with round bumpers, bulky grille having its logo which also looks like a bow tie & almond shape head lights which are placed diagonally instead horizontally. Sometimes, even the words are not enough to praise its distinctive styling. With so many automakers, coming up with their new vehicles almost every day in the car market, the competition has really grown up simultaneously reducing the manufacturing time of vehicles, as everyone wants to enter in the market as fast as possible with their newly arrivals & capture the attention, before anyone else. But in spite of all this, Chevrolet, with the launch of Beat Car, has not made any compromises with the International standards, in terms of quality & drivability.
Chevrolet Beat has compound link suspension at the back while struts in the front, helping in delivering superb ride quality & giving a fine grip on the road. The car has 1.2 liter engine & if someone is planning to compete it with other hatchbacks like Fiat Punto, Ford Figo & Volkswagen Polo, than it is the quickest of all the above mentioned cars, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 15.7 seconds. In terms of fuel efficiency, it again overtakes all the 3 cars, as it weighs less than 1000 kg. The fuel efficiency of the car is 14 km/l. Car has been launched in 8 colors & 10 variants. With the launch of 10 variants, Chevrolet has given choice to customers to opt from Petrol, Diesel or LPG variant. In the end, after reviewing the car thoroughly, we found that the Boot space & Rear seat space has to be increased a bit to make it more comfortable.
