BMW Z4 Car - November 2024 

BMW Z4 comes with few changes in its looks and promises to offer better performance for the Indian road conditions. The new design is little wider and much lower when compared to its predecessor. The Z4 has been built on a platform which does not share any piece with its outgoing model. Buyers get two options either to buy the existing 6 cylinder inline engine which is of 3 litre and twin turbocharged and has the capacity to produce 300 horse power. The hi-tech features have been updated along with the improvement in performance. The handling and comfort level has also been taken to a new level with the launch of this model.

Z4’s dimensions have been changed with an increase in its width by 0.4 inch and decreasing the height by 0.3 inches. The wheel base has grown by 0.1 inches and it has been made 5.8 inches longer. This change in the length makes it easier to store the retraceable top and not compromising on boot space of the car. One of the most attractive things of this car is its top to bottom profile. The stylish front fascia gets larger BMW signature grills this time and the rear part has rounded looks which evoke BMW’s present six series version. 

Both the versions of BMW Z4 are defined by their different powertrains. SDrive35i has twin turbocharged 3.0 liter 6 cylinder inline engine. New Z4 comes with an excellent 2 piece retraceable hardtop made of aluminium. This feature turns this car into a coupe and replaces the previous generation of coupe. Its roof can be opened or closed in just 20 seconds by tapping a button in the console or holding a remote key when it is equipped with the optional Comfort Access. With the comfort access feature it lets you get a better access to the trunk with the top of the car being open. The power hardtop of Z4 is impressive and quickest till date. It moves at a silent pace and redefines the excellent piece of engineering by the engineers at BMW. The narrow pillars included in the top improve visibility as compared to the former soft tops. Headroom and shoulder room have been increased and the gates open a lot wider.  

The driver position is perfect and its optional sports seats are pleasantly tight. It has adjustable side bolsters that are useful on twisty roads. One would expect an improvement in seat’s cushion as they provide less lateral support. One of the refreshing features is the inclusion of instrument panel which improves the design and provides the driver with classic gauges. Some of the additional features include climate control, improved navigation system and audio/video features. The navigation package comes with 80 GB hard disk and its iDrive interface makes it easier by bringing buttons for better access to functions and menus. Its 8.8 inch video screen improves the look of its interiors and remains clear most of the time.  

The Z4 gives the feel of a classic roadster and its improved Driving control system helps in getting different settings for all types of drivetrain. Its sports package comes with damping shocks and electromechanical steering. 

The driver has the option to switch between three types of driving modes and it produces excellent power in all the standard versions. The driver just needs to tap a button to switch between the three driving modes. Its additional sports package comes with 19-inch wheels along with adaptive M suspension that has ZF shock absorbers. BMW Z4 is the first if its kind in its segment which is equipped with electrical parking system. 

BMW Z4 comes in six paint variants and its superior style, quality, and sophistication make it the best in its segment. The interiors have three designs of upholstery. BMW Z4 is also expected to be launched in a petrol variant across India and will include all the quality features.
