The 6 series from BMW was launched in the year 2007 and was definitely aimed towards the super rich customer base in India. The first 6 series launched by BMW was based on its E28 and E12 from the 5 series way back in 1976. The typical feature of BMW is very much evident with the long bonnet and the chrome made kidney grill on it. The BMW 6 series comes in three models which are:
• The 650i Convertible which consist of an 8 cylinder 4395cc petrol engine churns out 400kW of power at 5500-6400rpm.
• The 650i Coupe consists of an 8 cylinder 4395cc petrol engine which produces 300kW of power at 5500-6400rpm.
• The 640d Coupe which is the diesel variant and consists of a 6 cylinder 2993cc engine which belts out 230kW of power at 4400rpm.
The 650i was tested and it was found out that the car can attain 100kmph in only 5.3 seconds and it is real quick considering the size of the car. Even when it reached speeds of 190kmph, the engine of the car was absolutely smooth and real fast during overtaking.
