Tata Indica V2

Indica V2 Engine
Tata Indica V2’s Diesel Engine comes with 1396 cc, 4 cylinders. The maximum power of this car is 53.5 Ps at 5500 rpm. The maximum torque is 85 Nm at 2500 rpm. This car gives a city mileage of 13.6 kmpl and a highway mileage of 17.2 kmpl. All the variants are powered by a 1.4 L Inline-4, naturally aspirated engines. Spinning the engine beyond 2,000 rpm can do a 60 km/hr in a matter of 6 seconds. The engine type is 475 IDI with Microprocessor based Engine Management System (ECU).
Indica V2 Design and Comfort
Tata Indica V2 offers ample space for the driver as well as the passengers. Its fully foldable rear seat makes this car more accommodating for extra luggage. There is useful storage space inside with a coin holder and pockets on either side of driver’s seat. The tea drop highlights and bison tail lamps are its striking features. It measures 3675 mm in length, 1665 mm in width, 1485 mm in height and wheelbase is 2400 mm. The Front Suspension has independent, wish bone type with McPherson Strut, Anti roll bar and rear suspension is independent, semi-trailing arm with coil spring mounted on hydraulic shock absorbers. Breaks are dual circuit, diagonal split, hydraulic through tandem master cylinder. Fuel tank has a capacity of 37 liters.
Indica V2 Safety
To ensure safe and secure driving, Tata Indica V2 comes with side-impact beams, rigid monochrome frame, collapsible steering columns, provision for rear fog lamps, head lamp leveler, child safety locks and anti-submarine seats. The gearshift feels smooth. Downshifts are no longer a bother with each version of Indica enhancing the gearshift quality. The steering is well damped at low speeds, but lacks feedback and remains slightly sluggish at high speeds. The low-profile tyres limit the car’s rolling by a certain degree. The only thing dearly missing in the car is alloy wheels. The model also lacks airbags and Bags for active security.

Indica V2 is currently available in following variants: Dicor, Turbo and Xeta. Indica V2 Basic comes in two variants: DLE and DLS. Indica V2 Xeta comes in nine variants: V2 Xeta GL, GLE, GLG, GLS, GLZ and two LPG variants GLE and GLS. Indica V2 DLE comes at a price of Rs. 3,55,011 onwards while V2 DLS is priced at Rs. 3,76,701 onwards. Indica V2 comes in three colors – Salsa Red, Arctic Silver, Cavern Grey, Carbon Black, Satin Glow, Apple Green, Burgundy Royal, Odyssey Blue, Neo Orange and Mint White.
