A new showroom has been opened by Jaguar Land Rover at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. The showroom in Coimbatore is the second, the first being in Chennai. The VST group has taken the dealership. Twelve new Jaguar Land Rovers that include F- Type, XKR, XF, and XJ will be showcased at the showroom which is situated at Ondipudur’s Oddar Palayam in Coimbatore. The Land Rover range would get Freelander 2, Discovery 4, Evogue, and Range Rover Sport. The showroom spreads over an area of 50,000 square feet that has a workshop with an area of 10,500 square feet. There are fourteen bays in the workshop where body and paint work can be done.

Rohit Suri, the Vice President of Jaguar Land Rover India, has pointed out the “strong presence” of Jaguar in “southern market”. The key markets that have showrooms of JLR constitute Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kochi. The first ever showroom of JLR in India was opened in the month of June 2009. The completely operational services and sales facilities are to be found in Pune, Mumbai, Ludhiana, Kochi, Kolkata, Jaipur, Indore, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Chennai, Delhi, Cuttack, Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Aurangabad, and Ahmedabad. 

The two recently added vehicles to Jaguar Land Rover include Range Rover Sport from Land Rover and F-type from Jaguar. A V6 or V8 petrol engine powers the F Type. V6 is of three litres and delivers 380PS and a torque of 460Nm while V8 is of five litres delivering 495PS and 620Nm. The ex showroom Mumbai price of the car is 1.37 crore INR. There are both petrol and diesel options on Range Rover Sport. The three litres V6 diesel engine delivers 292PS and produces a torque of 600Nm, while the five litres V8 supercharged petrol engine delivers 510Ps and produces a torque of 625Nm. The ex showroom Mumbai price of the car is 1.09 crore INR.
