The Indian version carries some variations, like higher ground clearance & firm suspension, as compared to its American version, as it has been developed keeping the road conditions in mind. Being initially launched in 2006, the car comes with 1.8 i-VTEC engine as its power generator. With the best available technology & an option between automotive & manual transmission, Honda Civic Car is sure to lure the masses. With the launch of this car, Honda has tagged itself in the D segment cars & will be competing with Octavia from Skoda & Toyota Corolla.
Honda Civic Car is very much charmer. There should be no doubt, if we call it a revolutionary car. Honda gives its cars, some of the best aerodynamic designs & to quote this, we have the arrowshot design of Honda city. Carrying forward the traditions of the company, Civic has been manufactured using the same design technology, thus giving it sharp features. Latest version of the car is much more stylish because of its grille, fog lamps & stretched headlamps in the front. With the launch of this, company has offered both, automatic & manual gear box option to the people. Power pumped out by its 4 cylinder, 16-valve PGM-Fi petrol engine is 132Ps@3200rpm & the torque yielded by the same is 17.5Kgm@4300rpm. Ventilated disc brakes in the front & rear disc brakes bring the car to halt. 15 inch alloy wheels coupled with McPherson Strut kind of suspension in the front & double wish-bone type suspension at the back gives comfortable drive.
With it, some promotional accessory packages have also been launched, such as the Elegance comes with door visor & rear door sunshade. Another package is Inspire, in which we get Front under spoiler, Rear under spoiler, Trunk spoiler & Side under spoiler. The mileage of manual transmission variant is 10.8 km/l in the city lanes & 15.5 km/l on the fast moving highways. The automatic variant, which is not as much efficient as manual transmission, produces mileage of 8.9 km/l on city roads & 13.1 km/l on highways. Though the automatic transmission gives a hassle free drive, as compared to manual one, but at the same time it costs higher on the pockets, which is not the case with Manual transmission variant.
The performance & efficiency of i-VTEC engine is measured at high speeds, when it controls the air, fuel exhaust & intake valves. It is because of this engine only that it accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h speed in just 4.7 seconds. Viewed from any side or from any direction, the adjectives like husky & sporty car will always be attached to its name, boosting its dynamic features.
